Dear Friend,

We wish you a happy and healthy Thanksgiving as we close out the year.

It has been quite a year for the Voelker Orth Museum, Bird Sanctuary and Victorian Garden. If you have been able to come to any of our diverse programs, you realize that we are trying to serve the many interests of our community. Our Oktoberfest Flushing Style: Sauerkraut & Kimchi included Epic88’s K-Pop performance and our summer evenings of free Shakespeare productions draw a crowd. Voelker Orth cultural programs educate, entertain and welcome all ages in an intimate setting of a 19th century parlor and garden oasis.

Family events, such as the Honey Harvest Festival, and our school programs, have a growing attendance. Admission and registration fees cover only a small portion of our expenses. Our endowment fund helps to maintain the property and continues to support our programs and operations. This coming year we are embarking on an effort to restore the historical façade and aim to raise funds to update the pink and white exterior paint. So, you’ll see our fresh paint cans out for donations at our events.

You can help in this endeavor by becoming a member or upgrading your level of membership. Your gift can be made by donating via our website at www.vomuseum.org or via mail. Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers play an important role at the Voelker Orth Museum. They help the museum staff with education programs, gardening, research, administration, visitor services and outreach, and with public programs.
